Frequently asked questions.

Do I sell online?

Currently, I do not sell online. Since my art takes so long to create, I slowly build an inventory that I take to my art shows. I’ll post current work on this site, and on my social media pages. If you’d like details/pricing for anything you see, I’m happy to provide info and even hold a piece for you to see in person! I know this is weird… I’ve been told haha. Here’s my reasoning: I am currently having so much fun doing in-person shows and I need a certain amount of art to bring with me to them. In order to keep my stress levels low leading up to these big events, I just can’t sell it online between shows. I really hope to keep doing more shows, and reaching new people in different states! It’s also very meaningful to me to meet my buyers in person…to shake your hand/hug and thank you personally.

Do I dye my own wool?

Nope! I don’t have time for that…yet. In my typical fashion, I bought a couple books about it and how to do it…and they are gathering dust. I love supporting local, small fiber shops as much as possible! Even when I’m out of town, I will go out of my way to find a shop that might have some fiber I can buy. Lots of my blended wool batting comes from Three Moons Fiberworks in Chesterton, IN. It’s an amazing shop full of looms where so many different types of fiber artists and total beginners can come and learn. The shop has a “wall of wool” that I like to go stand in front of and pick colors like a kid in a candy shop. Go check it out! This is also where I teach classes :)

Where am I located? Will I deliver in person?

I live in Valparaiso, Indiana, out in the cornfields of solitude. It’s quiet and I love it! I am always willing to drive to you for local delivery of larger items, within reason. Just message me and ask :)

Do I ship paintings not on Etsy?

Currently I do not ship my larger art. I’m honestly worried about how to ship a large, heavy frame with glass. It’s costly these days, and I’m inexperienced at it! I have made a couple exceptions, so it’s always worth it to ask me! Shipping costs and packaging are not included in the price.

Will I come talk to your group/class/studio about my art, background, and why I do what I do?

I sure will! When my schedule allows, I absolutely love to share my experience. Felting got me through some really hard times in my life, and if my story can help someone not feel alone, or inspire them in some way, I’m all for it. I recently gave a presentation about my art to a group of quilters. (see picture at the top). So even though they didn’t know much about needle felting, I was able to connect to a group of people who enjoy art all the same. I like to talk about my tools, types of wool, what got me started, what inspires me, and how we can all learn to be creative and try new things at any stage of life.

How do I have time for this??

Well, currently my husband and I don’t have kids, and I have the time to needle felt for 9-10 hours a day to keep up with shows. In the height of Christmas prep, sometimes 12 hours a day! What we do have are 3 adorable adopted dogs from local shelters, 3 mischievous cats, and a house I can never keep clean due to said animals. In early 2021 I quit my job as a personal trainer to follow my dream of doing art full time!

Do you take custom orders?

I sure do! When I have time! Please follow the link at the top of the page to learn more about custom orders and what to expect as far as timing goes, price, etc. If I think I can do it, I will sure try!
